Terms and Conditions


The House Entertainment
Effective Date: November 2, 2025
Location: St. Louis, Missouri

1. Agreement to Terms

By engaging The House Entertainment for audio services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

2. Services Offered

The House Entertainment provides professional audio services including:

  • Audio mixing
  • Audio mastering
  • Dolby Atmos mixing
  • Other audio production services as agreed upon

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Payment Structure

  • Deposit: 50% of the total project cost is required upfront to begin work
  • Final Payment: The remaining 50% is due upon project completion before final files are delivered
  • Accepted Payment Methods: PayPal, Cash App, and major credit/debit cards

3.2 Payment Timeline

Final payment must be submitted before the completed audio files will be released to the client.

4. Refund Policy

4.1 Deposit Refunds

  • Refunds are not available 24 hours after the deposit has been submitted
  • Within the first 24 hours of deposit submission, clients may request a full refund

4.2 Cancellation Policy

  • Client Cancellation: If a project is cancelled mid-project by the client, the client will receive 50% of the deposit back
  • Company Cancellation: If the project is cancelled due to issues on The House Entertainment's end, the client will receive a full refund of the deposit

4.3 Quality-Related Cancellations

If source files provided do not meet minimum quality standards (see Section 5.2), the project will be cancelled and the client will receive a full refund of the deposit.

5. Client Responsibilities

5.1 File Delivery Timeline

Clients must provide all necessary source files and project information within a reasonable timeframe to avoid delays in the turnaround schedule.

5.2 Source File Quality Requirements

For optimal results, clients must provide:

  • WAV files (preferred format)
  • Cleanly recorded audio with no distortion or clipping
  • Properly labeled and organized files

Failure to provide acceptable quality source files may result in project cancellation with a full deposit refund at The House Entertainment's discretion.

5.3 Communication

Clients are expected to respond to communications in a timely manner. Delays in client responses may extend the project turnaround time.

6. Revisions

6.1 Included Revisions

Each project includes three (3) revisions at no additional cost.

6.2 Additional Revisions

Any revisions beyond the initial three will incur an additional fee of $20 per revision.

7. Turnaround Time

Standard turnaround time for projects is one (1) week or sooner from the date all source files and information are received. Turnaround times may vary based on project complexity and current workload.

8. Deliverables

8.1 File Formats

Final mixes will be delivered in the following formats:

  • WAV (high-quality uncompressed audio)
  • MP3 (compressed audio)
  • Additional formats available upon request

8.2 File Delivery

Final files will only be released after the second half (final 50%) of the payment has been submitted.

9. Intellectual Property and Copyright

9.1 Client Ownership

Clients retain all rights and ownership to their original music and compositions.

9.2 Promotional Use

The House Entertainment may use completed work for promotional purposes (portfolio, website, social media) only with explicit permission from the client. Permission will be requested on a case-by-case basis.

10. File Storage and Backup

Project files and source materials will be stored indefinitely by The House Entertainment. However, clients are strongly encouraged to maintain their own backups of all files.

11. Limitation of Liability

The House Entertainment will take reasonable care in handling and processing all audio files. However, we are not liable for:

  • Loss or corruption of files due to circumstances beyond our control
  • Technical failures of third-party services
  • Any consequential damages arising from delays or quality issues

Our total liability in any case shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific project in question.

12. Disputes and Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of St. Louis County, Missouri.

13. Communication and Support

For questions, concerns, or support regarding your project, please contact The House Entertainment through the communication channels provided at the time of engagement.

14. Changes to Terms

The House Entertainment reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms and Conditions shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

By engaging The House Entertainment's services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
